Discover the local experiences, hidden gems, and beautiful places around Pak Chong and Khao Yai.
A curated guide by local hosts who love their community — a few of our favourite ways to spend time just outside our door. Stay with us, slow down, and discover the beautiful local life of Pak Chong and Khao Yai.
Right here at Chomklong, we run a Sunrise Yoga session in our own garden — a gentle way to start the morning among the trees. Check our Wellness page for the details.
Beyond the hotel, yoga and mindfulness sessions can often be arranged locally. Ask at our front desk and we'll do our best to point you toward something for your stay.
A community favourite, just around the corner
Just a short trip from Chomklong, tucked into our own neighbourhood, is a small massage shop guests keep discovering on their own: Relax Corner มุมพักผ่อน ปากช่อง Traditional Thai Massage. We wanted to introduce it properly — it's exactly the kind of local, community-run business we love sharing.
On Google Maps it holds an excellent 4.9-star rating from 134 reviews, and the recurring themes are easy to spot: a relaxing atmosphere, good value, and a recently refreshed space with new paint and a refurbished spa room.
Alongside traditional Thai massage, local word-of-mouth also mentions a singing-bowl sound healing session being offered there. We haven't been able to confirm that detail ourselves, so take it as a friendly rumour worth asking about rather than a promise.
We don't want to publish hours, a phone number or treatment prices here that might be out of date — the Google Maps listing always has the current ones.

For a different kind of afternoon, Pak Chong has a couple of BB-gun / air-rifle activity venues — not live-ammunition shooting ranges. Khao Yai BB Gun sits on Thanarat Road, and Thongsomboon Club is a larger multi-activity ranch (ATV, zipline, horseback riding) that also includes BB-gun shooting among its activities.
As with any activity venue, we'd recommend confirming current details directly before you go — we haven't listed hours or prices here since we couldn't verify them.

Suwan Corn Farm (ไร่สุวรรณ), out toward Klang Dong, is a lovely taste of the countryside around us — walk the corn fields, pick up fresh corn, and try corn milk and corn snacks straight from the source. It's reportedly open roughly 8:30am–5:30pm daily, though it's worth calling ahead to confirm.
It's a wonderfully photogenic, seasonal kind of outing — bring a camera and a sense of adventure, and go with whatever the fields are offering that week.

Khao Yai is one of Thailand's best-known wine regions, and two estates are an easy, scenic drive away: GranMonte Vineyard & Winery, with its own VinCotto restaurant and a roughly 1.5-hour vineyard tour and tasting of four wines; and PB Valley Khao Yai Winery, which runs several vineyard tours a day and has its own on-site restaurant too.
Both have official websites with current details — tours, tastings and pricing are best confirmed there, since they're subject to change.

The practical options are simpler and, we think, more charming: Big C Supercenter Pak Chong-Khao Yai and Lotus's Pak Chong for everyday supplies, an early-morning Pak Chong fresh market for produce and local life, and the evening Pak Chong Night Market for street food (a second, European-styled night market, Midwinter Green, also exists nearby — see our guest guidebook if you're staying with us).

A few community favourites worth a visit, by name alone (we haven't verified addresses, hours or prices for these, so treat this as a starting point rather than a guarantee): Yellow Submarine Coffee Tank, IS Crepe Cafe', River Curve Khao-Yai, and The Witches Brew Restaurant.
